For tank/DPS combos*. This grows more obvious the more I try to brainstorm this years NaNoWriMo project.

Also, if I didn't hate the mechanics/stats side of it, I would totally write litRPG. But even in my gaming, I want less fussing with stats, not MORE.

*I blame [personal profile] darthneko and I swapping to monk mains this expac. One brewmaster plus one windwalker will rip through anything, including heroic dungeons. Sadly, we can't yet duo current-content raids, or the bullshit quests that keep sending me to Emerald Nightmare would be done already.

i did, though

"I'm reading a story that's posted on my old account and it's not awful!"
"It's not."
"Well. I've written some things that are... well. And I'm pretty sure I spelled "definitely" wrong in all of them."
"I remember that."
"It's not even like I didn't use spellcheck. I just decided spellcheck was wrong."

The good: I have a solid idea for the short story I want to write for the Fell Beasts and Fair anthology.

The bad: Said idea came with enough backstory for a novel (or three)...IF I had the skill to plot and write the backstory properly, which I do not. And even if I did, the novel would suffer from a raging case of genre confusion, with elements of classic sword and sorcery, political intrigue, and icky romance cooties.

But the short story idea should work, if I can get it done by the November 1 deadline.

In other news, I have become mostly nocturnal, with my prime sleeping time between 7am and 1:30pm, and my prime writing time between 3am and 5am. IDEK.

Like, you're super hyped about several different fandoms, and are inspired for all of them, but it's so much so that everything sort of...cancels each other out? No? Just me?

I've been kinda stagnant and uninspired in my fandoms for a while, nothing really digging it's hooks in me enough to take the plunge into fandom/writing/whathaveyou. This season, though, is giving me new seasons/movies for things I already loved and now I'm having trouble choosing one thing to focus on! *laughs* Which is making deciding what to do for NaNo this year quite tough.

Lemme talk about my fandoms a bit )

But anyway, back on topic... Of course, since I am wanting to write and inspired to write even(!), I've gotten dragged back into playing Atlantica Online. Oops. So, as you can bet, being inspired for two (almost 3, give it a week) different fandoms that I can't decide on, and having AO as an ongoing distraction, well...that writing thing hasn't got anywhere yet. *laughs* A part of me just keeps shrugging it off, but I haven't written anything in nearly a year*, so I definitely need to get a bit of practice in before November kicks off. /o\

*No! I wrote that smutty Roy/Ed thing in March May! It's only been...a few months. Huh. Weird.

Is there a leatherworker in all of Azeroth who enjoyed this bullshit quest for a mount you can't even sell or use on alts?

And this is my reaction while cheesing parts of it with a flying mount. I wouldn't even have tried without one, because I already have the spirit moose from archaeology; WHY would I want a plain white moose who can't fly (though you certainly wouldn't guess that from how the fucker jumps like Superman during the quest).

I guess whatever else I do with my life, realizing that the story where everyone got pregnant in a dream was a terrible idea that should never be published will always be an accomplishment I can be proud of.

(I feel like I've posted about this before, but every time I remember that it exists I block it from my memory once again, only to be surprised by it a few years later when it strikes me as an excellent idea to read all the way back in my unfinished snippets folders.)

On the bright side, whatever I write for NaNo cannot possibly compete with that level of nonsense so there's nowhere to go but up.
